NAMM Show
Known as the world’s largest trade-only event for music products, pro audio, and event tech industry, this is a must-attend event for anyone involved in music merchandise. The NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show has attracted famous musicians of all kinds and has various events, but it’s really product exhibits that are integral to the conference’s operation. This allows dealers to see what’s new and create purchasing plans for up to a year in advance.
The NAMM also hosts the She Rocks Awards to pay tribute to the women working in the music industry. The awards are held during a gala celebration at the NAMM Show and celebrate famous female musicians and behind-the-scenes professionals. This trade show is not only one of the largest trade shows of its kind, but also the oldest. NAMM formed over a century ago, in 1901. Since its inception, the convention has been called off less than a handful of times – in 1918, from 1942 to 1945, and most recently in 2021. However, they returned to a full in-person event to launch new products, share brand initiatives, and engage with customers once more in 2022 and have been back ever since.
